Garment Care
Embroidered Garments
Embroidered garments should be washed in cold water and hung to dry. If placed in the dryer, a solid design can end up curly, sometimes severely, around the edges. This can usually be rectified with a good ironing with some steam, however, repeated dryings will make the curling permanent, irrespective of a go with the iron.
Please note: Metallic thread can be washed without a problem, however, it cannot be ironed under any circumstances.
Handknit Garments
All knitted garments will have a Care Card included with their order. It will give all information for washing and drying your garment and any special instructions, if any. Most things can be machine washed on Gentle Cycle but I would recommend using a mesh garment bag to avoid stretching. Anything with a high silk content may have to be dry cleaned but that will be written on the Care Card so there won't be any question or surprises about its care.
